ABOUT THE COURSE:
In this course at VIBS, we will look into ancient history. How human civilization started, and how it grew through the ages. Topics include the Agricultural Revolution, Medieval Church, and touch on the benefits of globalization. As well, we will be doing periodic dives into ethnic groups across the world, mainly focusing in the Americas. Teaching will be done through methods of storytelling and engaging activities to aid with understanding of why an event occurred.
For more advanced studies, we will look into current events, well known individuals such as Frederick Banting, as well as history within the recent century, and how it draws relations to current events. There will also be occasional sidetracks into mythology and religion for students who are interested!
