Math is a key part of how we understand the world around us, from basic counting to solving complex problems. At VIBS, our math tutoring program turns learning into a fun and meaningful journey. We guide students through essential topics like shapes, patterns, logic, and number operations. By focusing on both understanding and practice, we help students grow their confidence with numbers. Whether catching up or advancing ahead, we support each student every step of the way.

VIBS’s Business tutoring program introduces students to the fundamentals of the business world. Through our engaging tutoring sessions, students explore key concepts such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and basic economic principles. Our approach emphasizes real-world applications, encouraging students to think critically and creatively about how businesses operate, succeed and play a part in our everyday lives. This will allow them to think further and deeper about businesses they view and why those exist.

VIBS’s Economics program introduces students to fundamental concepts such as supply and demand, markets, and economic decision-making. Through clear lessons and real-world examples, students learn how economies function and how individuals and businesses make choices. The course fosters critical thinking about economic issues and helps students build a strong foundation for future studies in business or social sciences.

VIBS’s Physics program is built for students ready to strengthen their foundation in physical science. Covering key topics from Physics 11—like kinematics, fluids, and circuits—it’s perfect for those planning to take AP Physics 1. Our lessons focus on building strong problem-solving skills and deep understanding of core physics ideas. To succeed, students should be confident with algebra and trigonometry. This course prepares learners for advanced physics in a fun, structured way.

VIBS’s Chemistry program helps students understand what everything is made of, from air and water to metals and gases. We explore atoms, molecules, and the periodic table through clear lessons and hands-on activities. With real-life examples and visuals, students learn key topics like states of matter, chemical reactions, and elements. This course builds a strong science foundation while sparking curiosity about how the world around us truly works.

VIBS’s AP Psychology course introduces students to the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Aligned with the AP curriculum, it covers key topics like research methods, brain function, learning, development, and social behavior. Students explore major theories and apply them to real-world situations. With engaging lessons and clear instruction, this course builds a strong foundation in psychology and prepares students for advanced studies in the field.

VIBS’s English Language tutorial program follows British Columbia’s K–12 curriculum, helping students develop skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, viewing, and representing. Whether improving grammar, boosting creativity, or building confidence, each student gets a personalized plan tailored to their needs. Our skilled tutors use interactive lessons and fun activities to make learning engaging and effective, helping students succeed in school and beyond.

At VIBS, this Ancient History course explores the origins and growth of human civilization. Topics include the Agricultural Revolution, the Medieval Church, and globalization, with special focus on ethnic groups in the Americas. Using storytelling and engaging activities, students learn why events happened. Advanced studies cover recent history, notable figures like Frederick Banting, and connections to current events, with optional explorations of mythology and religion.

At VIBS, computer science teaches students to think like problem solvers. We introduce coding in a fun, approachable way that builds logic, creativity, and confidence. Through hands-on projects, students learn how computers follow instructions and how simple programs are created. Whether coding animations or solving puzzles, they gain practical skills and a deeper understanding of technology, all while enjoying the learning process.

In French, students explore key grammar topics like the simple past, imperative, simple future, and conditional. VIBS also focuses on everyday vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills to help learners communicate confidently.

VIBS offers Cantonese and Mandarin courses that help students develop basic reading skills and practical conversational ability. Lessons also introduce the rich cultures of the global Chinese-speaking community, broadening students’ cultural awareness and global perspective. Our approach combines language learning with cultural understanding to create a well-rounded experience for every student.

Whether students want to sharpen their grammar, write more creatively, or become more confident speakers, our program offers personalized support to help them succeed. Each learner receives a customized education plan based on their unique needs and abilities.

    Our experienced tutors use interactive lessons and engaging activities to make the process fun and effective. With the right support, students not only improve their communication skills but also gain confidence in the classroom and beyond.

  • In this course at VIBS, we will look into ancient history. How human civilization started, and how it grew through the ages. Topics include the Agricultural Revolution, Medieval Church, and touch on the benefits of globalization. As well, we will be doing periodic dives into ethnic groups across the world, mainly focusing in the Americas. Teaching will be done through methods of storytelling and engaging activities to aid with understanding of why an event occurred.

    For more advanced studies, we will look into current events, well known individuals such as Frederick Banting, as well as history within the recent century, and how it draws relations to current events. There will also be occasional sidetracks into mythology and religion for students who are interested!

    In Chinese, students will be aided in basic reading as well as actional conversation. As well, students will be offered education about the wider culture of the global Chinese-speaking community.
